Iheanacho's thunderbolt ensures Eagles beat Tanzania 1-0, as team gets 10M Naira from the Akwa Ibom State Govt (PHOTOS)

Manchester City Striker Kelechi Iheanacho scored a brilliant left-footed cracker from 25 yards out to ensure Super Eagles of Nigeria beat visiting Tanzania 1-0, handing them first Group G win in the African Cup of Nation qualifier match played at the Nest of Champions Stadium in Uyo, Akwa Ibom. Despite the win, Nigeria failed to qualify for the 2017 African
Nations Cup to be hosted in Gabon. The win was atleast worth celebrating as this was coach Gernot Rohr first official match as Super Eagles head coach.

But meanwhile, Victorious Super Eagles were rewarded with 10 million naira (about $25,000), while AFCON qualifier opponents Tanzania received $10,000 from the Akwa Ibom State Government.
“The Eagles got 10 million Naira and Tanzania were given $10,000 by the Akwa Ibom Government,” a team official announced.

This is a good news as broke NFF stated that Eagles will not get any match win bonus.
