Just In: NPFL Week 25; Drama in Kano as Pillars loose 12-year home record as Enyimba maintains top with 1-0 win today


Earlier today, Enyimba still maintained their lead in the NPFL table after they beat relegation threatened Taraba FC 1-0 in Aba Township Stadium, Abia State Musa Najere got the only goal of the match in
the 76th minute from a well perfect assist by Peter Onyekachi.

Enyimba now have 48 points from 25 matches with a total of 34 goals scored. 
Nasarawa United stunned the whole football fans in Nigeria after they came out as 2-1 victors over NPFL defending champions Kano Pillars in their week 25 match against defending champions in Sani Abacha Stadiym, Kano on Sunday. The boys from Lafia took a surprise 2-0 lead in the first half with goals from former Kano Pillar player Mannir Ubale and Bature Yaro doing more than a damge, before Rabiu Ali halfed the deficit.
After going over 200 matches and 12 years unbeaten at home both on domestic and International level, Kano Pillars run was finally ended by hard fighting Nassarawa Utd. 


Current runners-up Sunshine stars who have scored more (41) goals than any other club this season so far, maintained the chase game with a 5-0 annihilation of El-Kanemi Warriors in Akure. 

In the other away win of Week 25, Sharks of Port Harcourt pipped Bayelsa Untied 1-0 to draw closer away from relegation zone.

NPFL Midweek matches of week 26 will be played on Wednesday 26 August, 2015
