Awoniyi on Esperance's radar for sum of $1.2m

Top Tunisian club Esperance are making a sensational swoop for new Nigeria sensational striker, Taiwo Awoniyi, and they are willing to splash $1.2 million on the U20 star.
‘Blood and Gold’ Esperance have already signed Emem Eduok and Awoniyi’s Flying Eagles teammate Bernard Bulbwa and next target is the highly-rated Awoniyi, who

netted three goals as Nigeria won a seventh African Youth Championship in Senegal last month.
It would also be recalled that Esperance also targeted Nigeria league all-time hot shot Mfon Udoh, who scored a record-shattering 23 goals for Enyimba last season.
“Esperance are investing in Nigerian strikers with the hope of selling them for huge profits to Europe,” a top transfer expert told AfricanFootball.com

Awoniyi – who will be18 in August - has been linked to a rash of European clubs, from FC Porto to Celtic, but none of these clubs has come up with the figure offered by Esperance.

The lanky striker, who has been likened to the legendary Rashidi Yekini, has an agreement with modest Swedish club Kalmar.
