NPFL: League star match faces broadcast blackout

The 2014/2015 Nigeria league opener on Saturday between Heartland and Kano Pillars slated for the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri may not be broadcast live due to a political
rally scheduled for the match venue a day before.
According to Heartland media officer, Cajetan Nwokpara, the club officials were shocked when they were informed by the stadium authority on Tuesday that a political rally is to take place 24 hours before the Heartland vs Pillars game at the match venue.

With this development, the live broadcast of the game is being threatened as the equipment for the live telecast of the game which supposed to be put in place on Friday may not be possible as the rally is staged Friday.
